The Pitfalls of Patriation......here I talk about the Patriation of the Cdn Constitution......it became the law of the land in 1982... was signed with a great deal of flourish on Parliment Hill in Ottawa...I can say to-day that this was not a understood document by 99% of metis people...it fell in the lap of the NCC who at the time was SUPPOSE to Be the INTERLOCUTER for the metis Nation on the Prairie's......Dropping the Historic metis nation in the Aboriginal Context was to be... the be all... and end all for the metis nation....Folks it was one of the greatest mistakes by a nation of people to be included in this morass of rigidity...which stifled our ability to advance our metis nation for the last 26 years!!!!!
Let me relate this conversation Between two metis person's in 1983......

mr v...i just told you it is the constitution and the constitution is the constitution...and thats all i am saying about it!!!!
...!!!!!these two men where respected persons within the metis nation i always enjoyed talking with them...Bless their metis souls.....
