Who held the real power in 1869-70!!!!!!
The metis people where the overwhelming majority during the period in the red river ...BUT they wielded very little power as a people ....through their leader Louis Riel.....the real power was in the Catholic Church.... they determined what was to take place..!!!!!! the metis shopping list(metis list of rights)was the work of the church and its pawn Louis Riel...to defy the church would result in ....EXCOMMUNICATION...... which was the death sentence for the CATHOLIC metis....
Hindsight points out the mistakes made as a people they should not be repeated!!!!! ...MORE TO FOLLOW!!!!!
