This the last day of 2007.....Time for metis people to show some resolve...I note that over the last while there is calls for action on the operations of the mmf/inc.....While its very difficult to prove anything...there is a wide view among metis people that something is not right.....and it seems that the only place to resolve the matter is in the Courts....a place where the ordinary Metis Citizen cannot bring any action for obvious reasons...I believe that what they are asking for ...is a place where metis people can gather to talk about the issues that concern and trouble them.!!!!!!..to get some answer's and to express their thoughts ....without being attacked...... to understand.... to get ANSWERS..!!!!.....So time for action on this is needed...we don't need to tie a bell around the beast's neck .....maybe a rope around the neck... to haul in the beast will do for now!!!!!..FOLKS HAVE A BETTER 2008......

The mmf/inc boxed itself in a corner...where it has no wiggle room.....it can only follow the course it has chosen unwisely.......in its action before the courts in Canada/Manitoba.....those involved are lukewarm ,but have no choice but to continue their stance!!!!!!!
So they proceed to run through the process,and in the end where will they be!!!!!! no-where......
The govts of Canada/Manitoba.....at the end of this action....still have all the powers to do nothing...or maybe do something to the metis people.......
The big club is their NOTWITHSTANDING CLAUSE......
the only persons now speaking for this are the minions of said operation.....

No one should be on their Knees begging for something which rightly belongs to them!!!!! the first thing i would do if i was the mayor of the city state... winnipeg...would be to order the province to move their Legislative body out of winnipeg to Steinback, or DUCK BAY .....

the mmf/inc land claim case was fundamentally flaw.........I earlier stated that the judge might have saved us from them,and, ourselves......I say this because i have studied this matter...my question is have you????????the mmf/inc states that the metis have Indian Title.... I categorically oppose that point...and it seem' s the judge agrees with me..This position of the mmf/inc boxes us within the the Aboriginal context...Where we can't win!!!!!!! The metis people where the overwhelming majority during the period in the red river ...BUT they wielded very little power as a people ....through their leader Louis Riel.....the real power was in the Catholic Church.... they determined what was to take place..!!!!!! the metis shopping list(metis list of rights)was the work of the church and its pawn Louis Riel...to defy the church would result in ....EXCOMMUNICATION...... which was the death sentence for the CATHOLIC metis....

This my take on this metis matter..re: the recent court case mmf/inc--vs govt can/man...
The judge decided...no relief...meaning pay your own costs,,,,!!!!!!!

No Treaty or agreement this was an act of parliment.......
For some time i have indicated this was no treaty

Now Folks this does not mean that the metis cannot make a treaty with the Standing Govt of Canada....

That the metis people waited to long to bring their case to court...delayed...

Now folks I disagree with that..there are many reasons... first of all to we believe that!!!!!! I do!!!!! so we each have our position...

That the metis are metis not INDIANS the court stated!!!!!

I wholeheartly believe that to>>>they the metis made it clear during that period 1869 70....that they are metis and wish to be treated as such!!!!!!!

there is a great wrong here ....in all this.. that need to be corrected by metis people hopefully soon...Was there a great rush to bring this case to the countries court???I think so..we the metis AS A PEOPLE never really studied this question..that is the FLAW the Court is talking about Folks we have to correct that matter!!!!!!

The answer..... to taking charge of your well-being ......is to take over your metis community....!!! and start doing what is in your best interest......here is what the govts of canada/manitoba do for indian bands(reserves)now!!!!they deal directly with them...they the bands decide what steps to take .....so think this over ..... nothing stops you except maybe the mmf/inc and friendship centres...this is the first step to-wards self govt..in some form...remember each metis community is distinct.....I am sure the govts of canada/manitoba would be prepared to DEVOLVE to metis communities some form of self-govt...... there is no longer need to work through third parties like the ..mmf/inc...!!!!!!!SO within the jurisdiction of manitoba law.... there exist now forms of self- govt that could be extented to metis communities....the only thing required is for you to take this step!!!!!!
