The metis at one time struck fear in Aliens around the ..RED>>>
here is as i recall a manitoba SCHOOL text book in the late sixties ---1960'S
the paragraph said in part (dealing with the peroid 1860-1885...)
A LITTLE GIRL WALKING HOME IN THE SEVEN OAKS AREA...WAS AFRAID OF MEETING A WOLF..!!!!!OR WORST STILL A METIS.....WE BROUGHT UP TO THE SCHOOL AUTHORITIES IT WAS EVENTUALLY REMOVE.....
THE METIS NO LONGER STRIKE FEAR IN ANYONE ..!!!!!!!
